Episode 101 of Week to Week covers the final two weeks of January, and it has been a busy spell across the yard and workshop. With new attachments arriving into stock, customer orders being prepared and dispatched, and ongoing servicing and repairs, there is a lot happening at once.
This episode is a proper behind-the-scenes look at what goes on week to week at The Attachment Company – balancing incoming stock, outgoing orders, workshop jobs, and real-world customer support.
New Attachment Arrivals Into Stock
A strong flow of attachments arrives during this period, giving a good snapshot of the variety of equipment moving through the business.
One of the highlights of the episode is taking delivery of two attachments we have never seen in person before:
- A Simex wheel saw attachment
- A Vacuworx lifting attachment
Seeing new products arrive for the first time is always valuable. It allows the team to inspect build quality, understand the design in more detail, and start thinking about applications, setup, and customer use cases beyond what is visible on a specification sheet.
Preparing and Dispatching Customer Orders
Alongside new stock arriving, machines and attachments are being prepared and dispatched for customer orders.
This includes final checks, setup work, and making sure attachments are correctly configured before they leave the yard. Getting this stage right is critical – correct mounting, hydraulic setup, and preparation all play a big role in performance and long-term reliability once the attachment is working on site.
Workshop Repairs and Ongoing Jobs
Back in the workshop, progress continues on a coupler repair, showing the kind of longer-running jobs that often sit alongside day-to-day prep and dispatch work.
Workshop repairs are a key part of supporting customers beyond the initial sale. Whether it is wear-related issues, damage, or older equipment needing attention, these jobs rely on experience and an understanding of how different attachment systems are built and used in the field.
Hydraulic Servicing and Case Drain Setup
Service work is also a focus in this episode, including fitting a case drain hose to a customer’s excavator.
The team explains why correct hydraulic setup matters and how things like pressure, flow, and return lines directly affect attachment longevity. It is a good example of the type of advice and support that often goes unseen but can make a major difference to reducing failures and downtime.
