In Episode 103 of Week to Week, we travel across the Atlantic to visit The Attachment Company USA in Denver, Colorado. This episode focuses on the growth of the US side of the business and gives a behind-the-scenes look at our warehouse, equipment, and some of the work happening there.

During the visit, we also installed a Kinshofer NOX TR11 tiltrotator onto our new US demo machine – a CAT 308 excavator. This machine will be used to demonstrate the capabilities of tiltrotators and excavator attachments to customers across the United States.

Visiting The Attachment Company USA

The US side of The Attachment Company continues to grow, and this trip provided an opportunity to spend time with Andrew and take a closer look at the operation in Denver.

During the visit we:

• Look through the Denver warehouse and inventory
• Discuss the current state of the US excavator attachment market
• Review some of the machines and attachments available for demonstrations

Having a dedicated facility in the US allows us to better support customers across North America and provide local access to specialist excavator attachments.

Installing the Kinshofer NOX TR11 Tiltrotator

One of the highlights of the episode is installing a Kinshofer NOX TR11 tiltrotator on our CAT 308 demo excavator.

Tiltrotators are becoming increasingly popular in many markets because they significantly improve the versatility of excavators. By allowing the attachment to rotate continuously and tilt side-to-side, operators gain far greater precision and flexibility when working.

Benefits of Tiltrotators

A tiltrotator allows an excavator operator to:

• Rotate attachments 360 degrees
• Tilt the attachment left and right
• Perform tasks without constantly repositioning the machine
• Improve precision, efficiency, and productivity

Our New CAT 308 Demo Machine

The CAT 308 will act as our US demonstration machine, allowing customers to see the performance of tiltrotators and other excavator attachments in real working conditions.

Demo machines are a valuable tool when introducing newer technology like tiltrotators, as many operators prefer to see and try the equipment before committing to a purchase.

Inside the Denver Warehouse

The episode also includes a walkthrough of the Denver warehouse, where we store and prepare attachments for the US market.

This facility allows us to:

• Hold stock locally
• Prepare attachments before delivery
• Support customers throughout North America

With the growth of the attachment market in the US, having a physical base there is becoming increasingly important.

At the end of the episode, we also tease upcoming plans for ConExpo, one of the biggest construction equipment trade shows in the world.
