Saunders Tree Services –
The cone splitter works great, tried it out on some big ash logs, breaking down big timber is what we will do most of.
“Very Pleased”
Thank you for your help and advice, all appreciated.

Picked this up from mouse valley equipment as I already had an auger. Pretty nifty, won’t take long to pay for itself as we have a lot of customers who want trees we take down turned into firewood and it’s an ideal bolt on job.
As luck would have it I’d also just got a billet saw/splitter for the tractor, so a perfect pairing.
It’s the 250mm cone on a Digga PDX2 on an E27. Good blend of speed and torque. I don’t find the free swinging mount too difficult- it’s nice to be able to get it started and then push it one way out the other to decide the angle of the split (like you would when changing direction of a hole after hitting rock near the start)
